Warren Leonard
Warren Leonard, M.D. leads the Laboratory of Molecular Immunology under the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute (NHLBI). This laboratory focuses on “the biology, signaling, and molecular regulation of a key family of these cytokines, the interleukins, with studies ranging from basic molecular mechanisms to human disease.” His lab cloned the IL-21 receptor and performed ground-breaking work on the IL-21 and the thymic stromal lymphopoietin cytokine systems. Dr. Leonard was an NAI Fellow in 2018.
