NIH Plan for Accelerating Tech Transfer

In a recently released report, the NIH details its plans for Accelerating Technology Transfer and Commercialization in Support of High Growth Business. The Plan is a response to the October 28, 2011 Presidential Memorandum (http://1.usa.gov/uHoAA4) that required federal agencies to streamline technology transfer processes, establish goals and measure progress, and facilitate commercialization through local and regional partnerships.

The Plan is all-inclusive, covering activities at OTT and in the Institutes and Centers, including patenting and licensing of inventions, CRADAs and other NIH collaborations with the private sector that move technologies toward commercialization, and SBIR/STTR funding.
