USISTEF Seeking Proposals for Critical and Emerging Technology: Quantum Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

The U.S. – India Science and Technology Endowment Fund (USISTEF) was established in 2009 between the governments of the United States (through the Department of State) and India (through the Department of Science and Technology) to support join U.S.-India initiatives on co-developing products or technologies that have potential to commercialize within 2-3 years. The USISTEF currently has a call for proposals on “Critical and Emerging Technologies: Quantum Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Transforming Lives. USISTEF is seeking proposals in two areas:

  1. Quantum Technologies: For supporting an existing proof-of-concept to technology development and commercialization in a specific area or a combination of areas such as quantum sensing, quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum imaging, etc.
  2. Artificial intelligence: For deploying and commercializing trustworthy and explainable AI systems and technologies demonstrating the potential to transform one or more walks of life (including healthcare).
